Now, for the rest of the updates. I just got back from Raleigh this afternoon. ALL of our documents have now been apostilled and are on their way to the country. I shipped them this afternoon. Boy was THAT emotionally draining. I mean, we've spent all this time and energy on these documents--making sure they're filled out correctly, getting them notarized and then apostilled, so it was a weird feeling to hand them over to the guy with DHL. But, I did it and they're off now. I'm praying for their quick and safe arrival. All I can say is that I'm fairly certain that I'll have my tracking number memorized by then.
As for our trip to Raleigh...it was fast and furious. We got there at a little before 8am on Monday morning, dropped our 40-something documents off at the apostille office and went off to kill
The next morning, we had to kill MORE time (we were told NOT to call to check on the status of our papers until after eleven) so, we headed back to the museum because it was
At exactly eleven, I called and found out our papers were ready, so we went to pick them up (and spent about 20 minutes there in the lobby just making sure everything had been completed correctly). Then, we drove home and I laid everything out on my bed AGAIN and went through each document, one-by-one, one last time to make sure everything was correct. After that, it was off to have them shipped out.
So, that's where we're at now. Our papers are on their way and we're praying all goes well. We're trusting that God will complete this good work He has started. We've been amazed and grateful at all He's done so far and we look forward to the next steps. Thanks for continuing to pray.

One last thing. If you get a chance, please visit FORTY to FOREVER and share their link today. There is an additional $200 up for donations and it will be given to one of the families featured on their website (we're one of those families!). If you would share on your Facebook page or twitter account or whatever other social media you use, we would greatly appreciate it. If you DO share, could you shoot me a message letting me know? That way I can let the person in charge of fundraising know how many people shared on our behalf. Thanks for your help! :)
