Fear: concern or anxiety
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.--Psalm 56:3
Sometimes, if I start thinking of all that still has to be done, and trying to figure out how in the world we can ever GET it all done, I get afraid. I mean, I get nervous driving somewhere I've never driven before! How in the world can I ever expect to walk this road of adoption? And so the thoughts continue rolling around in my mind; but I came across this Scripture today. What a good reminder.
WHEN I am afraid....not "if"--God knows there will be times I'm afraid. He's telling me, "Look, those times will come; and when they do, put your trust in Me."
What do I know about God? Can He be trusted? That answer is a resounding YES. He's our covenant-maker AND keeper. So, I'm reminding myself today that--WHEN I feel afraid, I need to put my trust back in Him. He moved us to this adoption and He's going to walk us all the way through.
(Just needed to encourage myself today....)
